Newsletter 1 - Mid November 2025
We're You Meet In A Tavern, we provide luxury TTRPG events in historical and unique settings for example we run events where you can play D&D in a real castle.

1) Website Launch
We have launched our new website. So far traffic and interest has been better than we expected. We've already received a lot of feedback but more is always welcome.
Our website is where you can purchase a single, or couple package for our events, at the moment that is limited to our Manorbier Event in March 2025 where, over 5 days you can play D&D in a real castle on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast in the UK.

2) Social Media
We are also on social media, although we haven't quite worked out the scheduling process as we are still focusing on our initial website setup and being able to efficiently process bookings.

3) Discord?
We are considering setting up a Discord for our guests so that you can more easily follow our updates on the event once you purchase a package. Given the length of time between the event and now we think it is important to help our guests maintain a level of involvement in the event so that they can get the most out of it when the time comes.
4) Extended Cancellation
Following feedback from customers and guests we have extended our cancellation and refund policy to allow a cooling-off period where you can change your mind about your event booking for a full refund. This period has been extended form the original 48 hours to 7 days. This is to allow customers who need to get their ducks in a row around matters like time off work or childcare, to have a greater sense of assurance in case they need to cancel shortly after the purchase.
5) Additional payment method added
We have added Klarna as a payment method in territories where it is available.
6) Future events
We have had a number of questions around whether we will be hosting similar events to our Manorbier Castle event later on in 2025 or 2026.
In short, yes, we plan to announce the dates for an Autumn 2025 event at Manorbier in the coming months.
7) 2025 Tour
Additionally we are currently working on the development of an alternative style of event in the form of a TTRPG Tour, where our guests can play D&D in unique locations over multiple days. We hope that this event will take place in later 2025.

9) More information about the TTRPG elements
A key part of playing D&D in a castle is the D&D part. We've received feedback from some of our visitors that our event pages do not provide a massive amount of detail as to the TTRPG gameplay. We have taken this on board and have started the process of streamlining those sections on the website. Specifically Angus - our Chief Dungeon Officer and I have recorded a very poorly produced video on what you can expect at the campaign table which we hope to release in the next few days.
10) Are the DMs included?
One question we have had multiple times is whether our guests are expected to supply their own DM. We appologise if our language has not be clear enough on this on the website. To clarify, when you book onto our Manorbier event, you get everything you need to play D&D in a castle. Including the DM.
We have also had questions about whether existing campaign groups can bring their own DM as part of a group booking. The answer is... it depends. Contact us to let us know that you are interested in doing a self-service DM arrangement and we will let you know what information we need to make a decision. contact@youmeetinatavern.co.uk
11) Group bookings
Remember that you will get a discount per person when you book a group of 4-6 players. This discount is best amplified when members of your group share a room. The discount for group bookings works on a rebate system, for example:
1) Contact us on contact@youmeetinatavern.co.uk and let us know you want to make a group booking. We will ask for the names of your party.
2) Once all of your group have booked their package we will offer a rebate in the form of a partial refund to each payment method.
12) Careers sections
We have added a careers section to our website, it includes information on the upcoming DM recruitment process. If you are interested in becoming a DM with You Meet In A Tavern then please subscribe to the form on that page and we will contact you when auditions open.
13) Email issues
We have received feedback that some of our emails are going through to spam folders. Specifically those sent in response to contact forms or online chats. Purchase confirmation emails are working as normal. We have since taken additional steps to authenticate our domain, in the hopes that this will remedy the issue. We will therefore be re sending the messages we have sent in the last week in case you didn't receive them.
